T1 Energy Inc. (NYSE: TE) announced on October 30, 2026, that it has signed new offtake deals totaling more than 1.58 GW of advanced solar modules.

The announcement, made from Austin, Texas, and New York, marks the latest step in the company's effort to build out its commercial position in the U.S. solar manufacturing market.

T1 Energy Secures 4 GW in Solar Module Offtake Contracts

Through the latest offtake contracts, which include agreements with subsidiaries of independent power producer Avantus, T1 Energy expects to supply high-performance, high-efficiency TOPCon modules from its G1_Dallas solar module facility in 2027 and 2028.

The company stated that the modules are expected to use a blend of imported solar cells and domestically produced cells from T1's G2_Austin solar cell fab, which is currently under construction.

With these agreements in place, T1 now has more than 4 GW of its 2027 manufacturing capacity under contract, according to the company's announcement.

Executive Commentary Highlights Demand for High-Efficiency Modules

Dan Barcelo, T1's Chairman and CEO, addressed the commercial significance of the deals in the announcement. "TOPCon is one of the most advanced crystalline-silicon module technologies in commercial production today," Barcelo said. "America's AI infrastructure and energy grid need high-efficiency modules, and we're building them here, in Texas."

The remarks tie the company's production strategy to demand drivers that T1 identifies as AI infrastructure buildout and the broader energy grid, both of which the company says require high-efficiency solar modules manufactured domestically.

Domestic Content Strategy Advances With G2_Austin Cell Fab

The new offtake deals come as T1 continues to increase the domestic content of its modules. The company began construction of G2_Austin, its solar cell fab located in Rockdale, Texas, in December 2025.

The first phase of the facility, which is expected to have a capacity of 2.1 GW, is anticipated to begin producing cells in the first quarter of 2027. T1 stated that it expects to offer modules with greater than 60 percent domestic content in 2027.

The integration of domestically produced cells from G2_Austin into modules manufactured at G1_Dallas is central to this plan, with the new offtake agreements explicitly contemplating modules that blend imported cells with those produced at the Rockdale facility.

Commercial Strategy Built Around a Traceable Supply Chain

According to the company, the deals mark a continuation of T1's commercial strategy to offer customers a traceable and reliable solar supply chain. Leveraging its 5 GW solar module facility, G1_Dallas, T1 offers integrated solutions that help clients optimize project schedules, financing, and returns.

The company positions this approach as part of a broader effort to build a leading domestic solar supply chain through reshoring manufacturing. The offtake agreements with Avantus subsidiaries and other counterparties represent the commercial expression of that strategy, converting manufacturing capacity into committed sales for the 2027 and 2028 delivery windows.

Technology Repatriation and TOPCon Intellectual Property

In addition to reshoring manufacturing capacity, T1 has also repatriated key solar technology, according to the announcement. The company's solar modules feature Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact, or TOPCon, solar cells.

T1 stated that it believes TOPCon is the most advanced, highly efficient commercially viable solar technology available.

The company noted that in July, it announced it had acquired foundational TOPCon solar patents and other intellectual property. That acquisition, combined with its domestic manufacturing footprint, forms the basis of the company's module offerings under the newly signed offtake deals.
