Illuminate USA has achieved 10 gigawatts (GW) of cumulative solar module production at its manufacturing facility in Pataskala, Ohio, strengthening its contribution to the US domestic solar manufacturing industry.
Manufacturing Reaches 10 GW Production Milestone
Since beginning operations in February 2024, the facility has manufactured approximately 18.5 million solar panels.
The company announced the milestone on October 29, 2026, describing the achievement as the first time a single-site photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturer in the history of US manufacturing has reached 10 GW of cumulative production.
Manufacturing Facility Has 5 GW Annual Capacity
Illuminate USA's Ohio facility spans approximately 1.1 million square feet and operates eight solar module production lines. The site has an annual manufacturing capacity of 5 GW and produces high-efficiency photovoltaic modules for residential rooftop installations and utility-scale solar projects.
Since its first module rolled off the production line in February 2024, the facility has progressively expanded its manufacturing output. According to the company, its cumulative production of 10 GW represents enough solar capacity to generate electricity equivalent to the annual needs of approximately 7.5 million US homes.

Production Milestone Supports Domestic Solar Supply Chains
The achievement highlights the growing scale of solar module manufacturing in the United States as the country works to strengthen domestic supply chains and expand renewable energy deployment.
Art Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer of Illuminate USA, attributed the milestone to the efforts of the company's workforce and emphasized the importance of employee training and development in supporting manufacturing growth.
Jim Murphy, Chief Executive Officer of Invenergy and Chairman of Illuminate USA's Board, highlighted the company's contribution to expanding domestic manufacturing capabilities, strengthening supply chains, and supporting a more diversified energy infrastructure.
Illuminate USA Strengthens Its Position in US Solar Manufacturing
Illuminate USA is affiliated with Invenergy, a privately held developer, owner and operator of energy infrastructure. Based in Pataskala, Ohio, the company manufactures high-efficiency solar modules for the US market.
Reaching 10 GW of cumulative production marks a significant scaling achievement for the company's manufacturing operations in less than three years. With an annual production capacity of 5 GW, the facility is positioned to continue supplying photovoltaic modules for residential and utility-scale renewable energy developments.
The milestone underscores the expanding role of domestic manufacturing facilities in supporting the growth of the US solar industry and increasing the availability of locally produced solar modules.
