About the Market Coverage Calculator
You can't bid what you can't see. Projects don't announce themselves in one place.
This calculator estimates what share of your market sources your team actually monitors.
This calculator estimates coverage and shows the blind spot gap in projects and value.
Formula
Coverage = Sources Monitored ÷ (Countries × Sectors × 6) - C
- — Countries you sell into
- S
- — Sectors you serve
- SM
- — Sources monitored weekly
Coverage is estimated structurally: each country-sector pair requires about six key sources. Your monitored sources are divided by that requirement, and the blind-spot share is applied to your estimate of annual project flow.
How to use this calculator
- 1
Map your footprint
Countries you sell into and sectors you serve — your real addressable market.
- 2
Count monitored sources
Portals, sites and feeds someone on your team genuinely checks at least weekly.
- 3
Read the gap
The meter shows estimated coverage; the bars translate the blind spot into projects passing unseen.
Example calculations
Global construction coverage gap
Example 112 countries, 4 sectors, 25 sources monitored, 300 relevant projects, $1.5M ACV.
- Market Coverage:
- 8.7%
- Unseen Opportunities:
- 274
- Unseen Value:
- $411M
Interpreting your results
A team manually checking 25 sources isn't monitoring the market — it is sampling it, and every unmonitored source is a place where competitors hear about projects first.

Frequently asked questions
Why six sources per country-sector pair?
Procurement portal, ministry/regulator, major developers, local press, funding institutions, and permit filings.
Our coverage came out under 20%. Is that plausible?
Yes — most teams covering multiple countries monitor a fraction of sources.
