SJVN Green, a subsidiary of SJVN Limited, has launched a tender inviting bids from developers to set up a massive 1.5 GW wind-solar hybrid power project across India. This initiative marks a significant step towards achieving the country's renewable energy goals and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
Key details of the tender:
The project will be awarded through a competitive bidding process, with interested developers required to submit their proposals by March 19, 2024. The successful bidder will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, encompassing development, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance.
SJVN will sign a power purchase agreement with successful bidders to procure power for 25 years. Bidders must offer a minimum power quantum of 50 MW or more for projects connected to ISTS.
SJVN Green, formerly known as SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), is a subsidiary of SJVN Limited, a state-owned electric power generation company in India. Established in 2018, SJVN Green focuses on renewable energy projects, primarily solar and wind power.
