Kolkata-based Vikram Solar has secured a major 336 MW order for high-efficiency solar modules from Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction. The newly listed solar module manufacturer shared the order details in a press release, stating that these modules will be deployed in Khavda, Gujarat, a region where the company has already made significant contributions.
Technical Specifications and Module Details
As part of this order, Vikram Solar will supply its Hypersol G12R modules, which are based on N-type technology. The latest module from Vikram Solar showcases improved bifaciality of up to 80%, better high-temperature performance, and minimal year-on-year degradation of ≤0.4%. The use of G12R Modules will enhance the Balance-of-System (BOS) efficiency and help reduce the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), making it more cost-effective and accessible, according to the company's statement.

Company Leadership Commentary
Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman & Managing Director of Vikram Solar, commented on the project: “The region holds immense potential for solar energy, and this project will play a pivotal role in harnessing that opportunity. Each project we deliver is a testament to the trust placed in Vikram Solar's technology, performance, and commitment to excellence.”
Previous Orders and Market Performance
Earlier in May 2025, Vikram Solar secured a 326 MW module supply order from Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) for the Khavda Renewable Energy Park. The company also received another 250 MW order from GIPCL at Khavda in Gujarat during the same period. The Vikram Solar stock, since its listing two weeks ago, has struggled a little to maintain the initial spike.
The firm experienced a massive oversubscription for its offer and is currently trading close to its IPO price of USD 332, even as it appears well-positioned to capitalize on the next stage of solar growth in India.
