Pure Data Centres Group has secured USD 1.48 billion in committed senior debt financing for Phase 1 of its Seinäjoki AI campus in Finland, the company announced, bringing its total financing secured over the past 12 months to more than USD 4.2 billion.
Five-Bank Syndicate Backs Finnish Expansion
The senior project financing was arranged across five mandated lead arrangers: SMBC, ABN AMRO, Citi, Societe Generale, and Natixis CIB. The transaction was completed within a six-week execution window, timed to coincide with the full leasing of Phase 1 of the Seinäjoki campus.
Three of the five institutions, Citi, Societe Generale, and Natixis CIB, are new additions to Pure DC's lender group, widening the company's financing relationships for future expansion.
Gary Wojtaszek, Executive Chairman and interim CEO of Pure DC, said the speed of the process and the breadth of institutional support reflected confidence in the company's platform and customer base.
"With more than USD 4.2 billion secured over the past 12 months, we are building the financial capacity and operational momentum to support the next phase of AI and hyperscale growth across Europe and the Middle East," he said.
Mike Schwartz, Chief Financial Officer, described the transaction as demonstrating both the quality of the asset and appetite for Pure DC's growth strategy, noting that the execution aligned with full leasing of Phase 1 gives the company greater flexibility to advance its pipeline.
Seinäjoki Campus Among Europe's Largest AI Infrastructure Projects
Phase 1 of the Seinäjoki campus, designated SJK01, will see investment of over USD 1.71 billion to develop a 110MW AI facility. Pure DC announced the project on July 14, 2026, describing it as what will become one of Finland's largest ever inward investment projects and the largest ever undertaken in the country by a UK company.
The site is designed to scale to a campus exceeding 550MW with a total investment potential of more than USD 8.56 billion, subject to the necessary permissions and contracting. At that scale, the Seinäjoki campus would represent one of Europe's largest ever AI infrastructure projects. The company said the development is intended to help place Finland at the forefront of Europe's AI transition.
Phase 1 is already fully leased. Pure DC confirmed that the substation for the first data hall has been constructed and is live, and that all planning permissions and power requirements have been secured.

May Financing Round Backed Dublin and Amsterdam Campuses
The Seinäjoki announcement follows a major financing round in May 2026, when Pure DC announced USD 2.7 billion in financing. That package included a USD 2.15 billion facility secured against its Dublin and Amsterdam campuses, as well as an increase in the company's corporate-level financing facility to $550 million.
The USD 2.15 billion facility was successfully syndicated within three months and attracted strong demand from the wider financing market. The Amsterdam facility covered by that arrangement is fully leased and has construction currently underway.
The Dublin facility reached a separate milestone in March 2026, becoming what the company described as Europe's first self-powered carbon net-zero data centre, a model Pure DC said it intends to develop further across the region.
The Dublin campus is located in the Ballycoolin area and is designed to deliver up to 150MW of IT capacity, with 54MW currently permitted. The debt facility is also intended to support continued expansion of that site.
Corporate Facility Expanded to Accelerate New Site Development
The USD 550 million corporate-level financing facility, increased as part of the May round, provides Pure DC with additional flexibility to pursue new opportunities across what the company refers to as FLAP-D infill sites, a term covering Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Dublin — as well as larger AI-scaled campuses across Europe and the Middle East.
The company said this facility complements traditional asset-level project financing by enabling it to act quickly in securing new sites and advancing its development pipeline without waiting for project-level structures to be established.
Middle East Identified as a Defining Growth Market
Pure DC said it is particularly focused on expanding its presence in the Middle East, which it described as likely to become one of the defining growth markets for AI and hyperscale infrastructure over the next decade.
The company did not specify particular countries or projects in the Middle East in connection with this announcement but identified the region as a strategic priority alongside its existing European operations.
Taken together, the financings completed over the past 12 months, now totalling more than USD 4.2 billion — are intended to give Pure DC the financial flexibility to execute against its growth strategy across both regions, reinforcing what the company described as its position as a key player in European and Middle East data centre markets.
Finland's Data Center Pipeline Is Moving Fast, Is Your Intelligence Keeping Up?
Across Finland, hyperscale campuses, colocation facilities, and edge computing hubs are breaking ground at a pace that leaves little room for slow research cycles. Whether you are a developer scouting land, a contractor chasing early-stage opportunities, or an investor mapping capital deployment, the window to act on quality project intelligence is narrower than ever.
The Global Project Tracking (GPT) platform by Blackridge Research was built precisely for this environment, aggregating structured, verified project data across the full development lifecycle so your team spends less time hunting for information and more time acting on it.
