NTPC Issues Tender for Solar Modules for 1200 MW Solar Power Project in Gujarat

NTPC Renewable Energy has invited bids for the supply and distribution of solar modules for the 1200 MW Khavda solar power project in Gujarat. The scope of work comprises the manufacturing, supply, packing, forwarding, and transportation of open-category crystalline solar modules.

The last date for submission of bids is March 5th, 2024, and the bids will be opened on the same day. The project, named the Khavda Solar Project (North Block), will require 1,515 MWp of open-category crystalline solar modules, divided across four blocks of 378.75 MWp each.

NTPC REL is seeking bids for the manufacturing, supply, packing, and transportation of these modules. There will be two stages to the tender process, with the first stage concentrating on technical and commercial aspects and the second stage including the price bid.

 

The applicants must submit USD 270 for the bidding document. To qualify for the bid, companies must demonstrate experience in supplying solar photovoltaic modules or cells with a combined capacity of 40 MW or more, with at least one order exceeding 10 MW.

 

They must also meet specific average annual turnover requirements based on the number of blocks they bid for. The project is expected to generate significant employment opportunities in the region and contribute to Gujarat's renewable energy targets.
