Danish offshore wind services provider ZITON A/S has successfully completed a new long-term financing agreement with a group of European banks and institutional investors, the company announced. The company describes the agreement as an important step in its continued development and growth strategy.

A New Financing Structure for Continued Growth

The new financing replaces ZITON's existing listed bonds and ESG-linked loans with a long-term financing structure designed to support the company's operations and future ambitions within the offshore wind industry.

The agreement has been established on infrastructure-style terms, which ZITON says reflects the long-term nature of its business and the role the company plays in offshore wind operations and maintenance.

Positioning for Fleet Investment and Service Development

With the new, more flexible, and more stable financial structure in place, ZITON states that it is well positioned to continue executing its strategy. This includes further investments in its fleet of specialized jack-up vessels and the continued development of its service offerings.

According to the company, the agreement also strengthens ZITON's position as a reliable long-term partner to wind turbine manufacturers and offshore wind farm operators, supporting the growing need for maintenance and major component replacements across the offshore wind industry.

Management Commentary

Jens Michael Haurum, CFO at ZITON, commented on the agreement: "The new financing is an important milestone for ZITON and provides us with a strong financial foundation for the years ahead. It reflects the strength of our business and the confidence in our long-term strategy."

He added, "With this agreement in place, we have greater flexibility to pursue our growth ambitions, further develop our fleet and continue supporting our customers with reliable and efficient solutions for offshore wind operations and maintenance."

Supporting Long-Term Ambitions under Macquarie Ownership

The new financing represents another important step in ZITON's continued development under the ownership of Macquarie Asset Management. Together with recent investments in the fleet, organisation and operational facilities, the agreement is intended to support ZITON's ambition to further strengthen its position as a leading provider of offshore wind operations and maintenance services.

The financing was arranged with the support of NatWest, which acted as ZITON's financial adviser throughout the process.

A Year of Milestones for the Company

The financing announcement arrives in a year that has seen a series of developments for ZITON. In January 2026, the company announced it had commenced construction of a new headquarters in Horsens, marking what it described as an important milestone.

In June 2026, ZITON celebrated the traditional Danish topping-out ceremony ("rejsegilde") at the new headquarters together with colleagues, partners, architects, engineers, contractors, and craftsmen.

The company has also extended its strategic partnership with RWE through a new three-year framework agreement, announced in April 2026, reinforcing a long-standing collaboration between the two companies.

On the financial side, ZITON reported a strong start to the year in its Q1 2026 interim financial report published in May, building on what the company characterized as a great result in 2025, when the Q4 2025 report was released in February. The Q2 2026 interim report, published in August, showed a satisfying half-year result compared to the previous year, with the company noting EBITDA figures for the period.
