US-based technology solutions firm UST has entered into a strategic joint venture with Kaynes Semicon, the semiconductor arm of Kaynes Technology India Ltd, to establish an INR 3,330 crore Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The collaboration is aligned with the government's 'Make in India' initiative and aims to build local semiconductor assembly and testing capacity.

Partnership Structure and Contributions

Under the joint venture agreement, UST will bring its global semiconductor client base, AI-driven digital engineering, and real-time process optimization capabilities to the partnership. Kaynes will contribute its manufacturing expertise to the collaboration. The facility is designed to cater to electronics, EVs, renewables, and consumer tech sectors.
