Indian solar manufacturer Solex Energy Ltd has launched two new high-efficiency solar modules specifically designed to withstand Rajasthan's extreme climate conditions, marking a strategic expansion into the high-irradiance state. The company introduced the "Tapi R" and the "Tapi Series" modules during an event attended by key industry partners, financial institutions, and company executives.
Product Launch and Company Leadership
The launch event featured several key executives from Solex Energy, including Chairman and Managing Director Chetan Shah, Whole-time Director Piyush Chandak and Director Vipul Shah. The introduction of these modules represents the company's targeted approach to addressing the specific environmental challenges present in Rajasthan's harsh climate conditions.
Tapi R Module Specifications and Technology
The Tapi R module represents a significant technological advancement, being the first in India to use rectangular cell architecture while incorporating N-Type TOPCon technology. The module delivers a power output range of 595–625 W and features 132 half-cut rectangular cells. With a module efficiency of 23.14%, the Tapi R is designed for both rooftop and large-scale utility applications. The company backs the Tapi R module with a comprehensive warranty package, including a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear performance guarantee, providing long-term assurance for customers investing in the technology.
Tapi Series Module Features and Design
The second offering, the Tapi Series, features a dual-glass N-Type module configuration that delivers 570–595 W with 144 half-cut cells and achieves a module efficiency of 23.03%. The dual-glass design serves multiple functional purposes, enhancing mechanical strength while offering superior resistance to potential-induced degradation (PID), dust, heat, and UV radiation.
These design features specifically address key environmental concerns in Rajasthan's harsh climate, where extreme temperatures, high dust levels, and intense UV radiation pose significant challenges to solar module performance and longevity.
Company Vision and Market Strategy
Chairman and Managing Director Chetan Shah emphasized the company's customer-focused approach to innovation. "Our customer-centric approach drives innovation at Solex," Shah stated. "These products aren't just about performance, they're about resilience and reliability under tough, real-world conditions.
Whether for rooftop, utility-scale or captive use, our modules are built to last." Shah highlighted the company's competitive positioning in the market, noting that Solex's strength lies in its manufacturing excellence and cost-competitive offerings. "We are proud to support EPCs, developers and end users in making informed choices that deliver value over the long term," he added.
Regional Expansion and Support Infrastructure
As part of its regional growth strategy, Solex Energy is implementing a comprehensive expansion plan in Rajasthan. The company is actively expanding its local partner network and technical team throughout the state to enhance service delivery and customer engagement. This expansion aims to provide improved support for solar adoption across Rajasthan, ensuring customers have access to local expertise and service capabilities.
