Sewell FM Wins Facilities Management Contract at Dogger Bank, One of the World's Largest Offshore Wind Farm
Yorkshire-based Sewell Facilities Management has been awarded a contract to provide facilities management services at Dogger Bank Wind Farm, one of the world's largest offshore wind farms, covering the project's onshore converter stations in East Yorkshire and Redcar.
Scope of the Contract
The agreement will see Sewell FM deliver a range of facilities management services across the two onshore converter station sites. These services include heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, grounds maintenance, water hygiene, cleaning, and waste management.
The company provides support to clients on a 24/7 basis, covering planned and reactive maintenance as well as legal compliance with gas, water, and fire regulations. Tom Farrow, Director at Sewell FM, described the significance of the deal for the business.
"We're really excited to be starting this new contract with Dogger Bank Wind Farm, keeping their sites operating around the clock to power homes and businesses," he said.
"Our multidisciplinary team of expert technicians will ensure the converter stations are kept in great condition, so that the Dogger Bank staff are able to concentrate on providing green electricity to the country."

About Dogger Bank Wind Farm
Once complete, Dogger Bank Wind Farm will hold the title of the world's largest offshore wind farm. The project is expected to generate five percent of the United Kingdom's electricity, an output equivalent to powering almost six million homes.
The onshore converter stations, which will be maintained under the new Sewell FM contract, form a critical part of the infrastructure that brings electricity generated offshore into the national grid.

Sewell FM's Regional Presence
Sewell Facilities Management is headquartered in Hull and operates offices across East Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, and the North East of England.
The company focuses on serving organizations across the North of England, providing maintenance, compliance, and safety services aimed at keeping buildings safe, comfortable, and operational.
The Dogger Bank contract represents the latest in a period of notable growth for the firm. Over the last year, Sewell FM has added an extra 120 properties to its managed portfolio.
Among the new clients secured during this period is Yorkshire Ambulance Service, with which the company has established a new long-term partnership.
A Growing Portfolio in the Energy Sector
The award of a contract tied to one of the most high-profile infrastructure projects in the United Kingdom marks a significant step for Sewell FM as it expands its client base beyond traditional building and healthcare sectors.
Managing the onshore converter stations for a wind farm of this scale requires around-the-clock operational readiness, a service model that the company states is already central to its existing offer across other clients and sectors.
The converter stations sit at the junction between the offshore generating infrastructure and the onshore power network, making their continuous and compliant operation central to the wind farm's ability to deliver electricity to homes and businesses.
Sewell FM's responsibilities across these sites will therefore carry direct implications for the reliability of the energy supply the wind farm produces. The company's stated expertise spans planned maintenance programs and reactive callouts, as well as ensuring that client buildings meet statutory requirements across gas safety, water safety, and fire safety regulations.
These compliance functions will form part of the service delivered at the Dogger Bank converter station sites under the new contract.
