Seaway7 has completed the final inner-array cable lay at the East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm, the company announced. The project is being developed by ScottishPower Renewables and Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company).
According to Seaway7, its teams installed 95 inner-array cables at the site, with more than 240 km of cable loaded, laid and pulled into the foundations.
Foundations Work Finished Earlier This Year
The cable lay milestone follows the completion of installation of all 95 monopile foundations and transition pieces earlier this year, Seaway7 said. The company's wider scope on East Anglia THREE encompasses both the foundations and the inner-array cables for the project.
Remaining Work Continues
With cable laying now complete, testing, termination, and trenching activities are continuing offshore, Seaway7 stated. The company said it is progressing the remaining work towards completion of its full project scope on East Anglia THREE.
In its announcement, Seaway7 thanked its offshore and onshore teams, ScottishPower Renewables, and project partners and suppliers for the collaboration and hard work behind the achievement.

Project context
The East Anglia THREE project has been the subject of significant activity in recent months. In July 2025, Masdar and Iberdrola closed financing for the development.
Separately, Seaway7 also won the array cable installation contract for East Anglia TWO in November 2024, while Hellenic secured the array cable supply deal for that project in October 2025.
The completion of the inner-array cable campaign at East Anglia THREE marks the latest step in the installation program for the ScottishPower Renewables and Masdar development, with testing, termination, and trenching now the remaining elements of Seaway7's scope as the project moves toward full completion of the contractor's works.
