Odal Vindkraftverk has entered into a new ten-year support agreement with turbine supplier Siemens Gamesa, a deal the wind farm says lays the foundation for stable and predictable operation for many years to come. The agreement takes effect from the expiry of the original service agreement.
What the New Agreement Covers
According to Odal Vindkraftverk, the new support agreement includes expanded follow-up of key turbine components, technical support and remote monitoring. It also provides access to spare parts, main components, and documentation needed for operations.
The wind farm states that the agreement secures the basis for stable and predictable long-term operation at the facility. The current five-year service agreement runs until 2028, and the new ten-year deal is set to begin when that original arrangement expires.

Management Reaction
Emil Orderud, the general manager of Odal Vindkraftverk, said the company is pleased to continue its cooperation with Siemens Gamesa. In his words, the new agreement provides access to the necessary expertise, follow-up and parts even after the current service agreement expires. He said this creates a good basis for stable and predictable operation of the wind farm in the years ahead.

Recovery After Production Problems
The announcement comes after a period of production challenges at the wind farm. According to Odal Vindkraftverk, all turbines were back in operation in the second quarter of 2025. The company says the extensive repairs are now complete and the wind farm has returned to normal operation.
Siemens Gamesa has followed up on its responsibilities under the existing service agreement, the wind farm says. This included covering the replacement of turbine blades and other necessary components.
Comprehensive Settlement of Outstanding Matters
As part of the new arrangement, the parties have also entered into what Odal Vindkraftverk describes as a comprehensive and final settlement of previously outstanding matters related to the project and the existing service agreement. The settlement covers the closure of outstanding project-related claims as well as the final remaining payment obligation under the construction contract.
The wind farm says the main purpose of the agreement is to secure a robust framework for stable and predictable long-term operation at Odal Vindkraftverk. The commercial terms of the agreements are confidential, the company states.
