NTT DATA announced on November 3, 2026, the opening of its Jakarta 2 Annex Data Center (JKT2A), a move the company says expands its data center footprint in Asia-Pacific and strengthens its ability to support rising demand for cloud, AI, and digital transformation services across Southeast Asia.
The new facility is described as a next-generation, AI-ready site delivering 12 MW of IT capacity, combining advanced cooling technologies, resilient power infrastructure, and carrier-neutral connectivity to support hyperscale, enterprise, and high-density computing workloads.
JKT2A Expands NTT’s Jakarta Data Center Connectivity Ecosystem
JKT2A sits within NTT Global Data Centers' Jakarta campus and extends the ecosystem established by JKT2, which the company describes as one of Jakarta's leading carrier-neutral connectivity hubs. JKT2 hosts more than 240 network service providers, JKT-IX, major cloud service providers, and critical submarine cable connections.
Through direct campus interconnection with JKT2, clients can expand their digital infrastructure while maintaining connectivity to their existing networks, partners, and cloud environments.
APN Connect Debuts in Indonesia
In conjunction with the opening of JKT2A, NTT DATA is also launching APN Connect, the first service in Indonesia to leverage All-Photonics Network (APN) technology. Built on Innovative Optical and Wireless Network (IOWN) technology, APN Connect provides high-capacity, low-latency Layer 1 connectivity between JKT2/JKT2A and JKT3, which are approximately 35 kilometers apart.
According to the company, the service enables real-time data synchronization across geographically separated facilities, supporting disaster recovery, data replication, and resilient multi-data-center operations.
Yasuhiro Kajiki, Managing Director, Japan and APAC for NTT Global Data Centers, called the opening of JKT2A an important milestone for the company's business in Indonesia and for the clients it serves there.
"By expanding our capacity and connecting the facilities through APN Connect, we are creating a more connected and resilient data center platform that gives our clients greater flexibility as their infrastructure needs evolve," Kajiki said. "We are proud to continue investing in Indonesia's digital future."

Executive Perspective on Indonesian Demand
Doug Adams, President and CEO of NTT Global Data Centers, pointed to Indonesia's digital economy as a driver of the investment.
"Indonesia is one of the most dynamic digital economies in Southeast Asia, and it is creating significant demand for scalable, highly connected digital infrastructure," Adams said.
"The opening of JKT2A reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting clients' cloud, AI, and digital transformation initiatives with resilient, high-performance infrastructure. Together with APN Connect, JKT2A strengthens our ability to deliver the scale, connectivity, and reliability organizations need to accelerate innovation and growth."
Facility Specifications and Resilience Design
JKT2A is engineered for performance, reliability, and security, according to NTT DATA. The facility's key features include 12 MW of IT load supported by dual power substations, a 2N UPS architecture and N+1 backup generators, and an N+1 air-cooled chiller configuration paired with an N+2 CRAH configuration.
The site also offers carrier- and cloud-neutral connectivity with access to leading cloud platforms and domestic and international network providers, a Tier III-certified design, and 24/7 security operations backed by multi-layered physical security controls.
The company notes that JKT2A is part of its global data center platform and expands its ability to offer scalable, interconnected infrastructure across key Asia-Pacific markets, supporting both local growth and global expansion strategies for clients.
