Larsen & Toubro, one of the largest construction companies in India, has secured an order from the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for the eighth phase of the Pipeline Replacement Project (PRP-VIII Group B) off India's west coast. The contract has an estimated value of around USD 119 million- USD 300 million (INR 1000 crore- INR 2500 crore).

The scope of the order involves engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of 129-km subsea pipelines and associated modification works across India’s west coast offshore fields of the ONGC.

The predominant fields in ONGC's western offshore fields are Mumbai High, Neelam, Heera, and Bassein, as well as numerous minor discoveries or marginal fields. Mumbai's high field was discovered in 1974 and commenced production in 1976. Since the field's inception, numerous development strategies have been implemented.
