Fugro has been awarded a contract by Cadeler to provide post-installation seabed surveys for the East Anglia TWO offshore wind farm in the UK. The work will verify installation quality and provide critical Geo-data to support the safe and efficient construction of the wind farm.
The announcement was published on 4 November 2026 from Wallingford, UK.
Contract covers inspection of 64 monopile foundations
Beginning in early 2027, Fugro will deploy its FCV 600 work-class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) from Cadeler's installation vessel to inspect 64 monopile foundation locations.
The ROV will perform a range of surveys and installation-related activities to confirm that the monopile foundations have been installed as planned and to deliver the insights needed to support their long-term integrity.
According to Fugro, the surveys are designed to reduce risk, maintain installation quality, and provide the Geo-data needed for reliable offshore construction, alongside the company's specialist survey, positioning, construction support, and ROV services.
East Anglia TWO's scale raises the stakes on installation quality
East Anglia TWO will have an installed capacity of 960 MW, enough to power the equivalent of around 950,000 homes. Fugro notes that this scale makes installation quality and long-term foundation integrity critical to the project's success.
Cadeler, which awarded the contract, plays a key role in helping bring new renewable energy capacity online.

Ongoing work at Hornsea 3
The new contract sits alongside Fugro's existing engagement with Cadeler at the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm, where Fugro is providing positioning and construction services. Fugro specialists onboard the installation vessel Wind Ally are supporting the installation of 197 monopile foundations.
Using Fugro's InclinoCam vision technology, the team provides continuous measurement of the tilt, inclination, and vertical alignment of the monopiles to help Cadeler achieve centimetre-level installation accuracy throughout the construction campaign.
Executives point to track record and full life-cycle capabilities
Maxime Duthoit, Cadeler's Senior Project Manager, said, "We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Fugro, whose track record in the offshore industry and position as one of the market leaders in ROV and survey services provide confidence in the quality and reliability of the data required to support successful project delivery. Their expertise will play an important role in maintaining the high installation standards expected on East Anglia TWO."
Stuart Hamilton, Fugro's Positioning and Construction Support Director for Europe and Africa, said, "Cadeler is delivering some of Europe's most significant offshore wind developments, and we're proud to support these projects with a range of specialist offshore services. Our expertise covers the full life cycle of offshore wind projects, from the early site investigations that inform project planning through to the survey, positioning, and inspection services needed during construction. Bringing these capabilities together helps our clients deliver projects safely and efficiently."
