Acme Cleantech Solutions has emerged as the successful bidder in Solar Energy Corporation of India's (SECI) 7th Green Ammonia auction under the SIGHT Scheme (Mode-2A). The company secured a contract to supply 50,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of green ammonia to Coromandel International Ltd. (CIL), Vishakhapatnam, at a price of INR 51.89 per kilogram.

Market Pricing and Competitiveness
The previous auction winners have secured contracts at tariffs ranging from INR 50.75/kg to INR 55.75/kg. This pricing range demonstrates the competitive nature of the bidding process and the market's evolution toward cost-effective green ammonia production. SECI noted that prices discovered across auctions now range from INR 55.75/kg to INR 50.75/kg, indicating that the market is stabilizing at globally competitive levels.
The organization emphasized that India continues to demonstrate strong participation, rapid cost compression, and growing confidence in the green ammonia sector.
Industry Development and Policy Support
According to SECI, the auction results are backed by MNRE's leadership, the Department of Fertilizers' support, and SECI's transparent e-reverse auction process. The partnership with Coromandel International Ltd. (CIL) further strengthens these initiatives, supported by SECI's long-standing experience in renewable energy and active policy advocacy.
SECI stated that these results reaffirm that Green Ammonia is on track to become affordable, scalable, and central to the decarbonizing industry. The organization indicated that each auction sets sharper benchmarks, bringing India closer to its vision of leading the global green hydrogen and derivatives market.
The auction system operates under the SIGHT Scheme (Mode-2A), which facilitates the procurement of green ammonia for various industrial applications. The scheme represents part of India's broader National Green Hydrogen Mission, aimed at establishing the country as a major player in the global green hydrogen and derivatives market.
The successful completion of these auctions demonstrates the growing maturity of India's green ammonia market and the increasing confidence of both suppliers and buyers in the sector's long-term viability.
