Telemundo A Division Of NBC Universal Will Build A New USD 250 Million Headquarters In Florida

Published on 27th July 2021

Telemundo Enterprises, a subsidiary of NBCUniversal, has announced plans to create a new global headquarters in Miami-Dade County, Florida. At NW 25th Street and the Florida Turnpike, the new 450,000-square-foot headquarters will spread across nearly 21 acres. NBCUniversal and Comcast, its parent firm, will invest more than USD 250 million in the initiative.

The Telemundo Network, Telemundo Studios, and Telemundo International, as well as its cable network NBC Universo and digital media operations, will all be housed in the new built-to-suit complex.

The headquarters will be a cutting-edge television production center with cutting-edge equipment that is also energy efficient. It will have a capacity of 1,100 personnel at first, with the opportunity to increase that to around 1,300 in the future. Approximately 3,000 construction jobs will be created as a result of the project.

Cesar Conde, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises and NBCUniversal International Group chairman, said: "Our new global headquarters will fold all of our division's offices and production studio spaces into one state-of-the-art facility that will help us do business in a more collaborative way.

"This significant investment clearly underscores once again NBCUniversal's and Comcast's long term commitment to our business and the US Hispanic market."
