Automotive and industrial battery manufacturer Amara Raja Batteries Ltd. will receive the necessary support from the Telangana government for its USD 1 billion Giga Corridor project and advanced research facilities. The project will be located in the Telangana New Energy Park, Mahbubnagar district.

The Telangana government assured that it would extend necessary support to the group’s Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC). The Telangana government will provide support for operationalizing the ACC gigafactory, pack assembly, and ePositive Energy Labs in Telangana.

The lab's establishment is a significant milestone. The USD 1 billion Giga Corridor of Amara Raja will also include a gigafactory for the production of lithium-ion cells and battery packs, which is slated to be constructed in Divitipalli.
