SUNOTEC, one of Europe's leading integrated solution providers for large-scale solar projects, successfully secured financing for seven renewable energy projects in Bulgaria during September 2025. Project Portfolio Details

The financed portfolio includes one co-located project combining Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology, along with six standalone Battery Energy Storage System projects. In total, the projects comprise 115 MWp of solar capacity and 763 MWh of battery storage capacity, marking a significant expansion of the company's investment portfolio in its home market.

The projects represent what SUNOTEC describes as a major milestone in the company's evolution from a turnkey solutions provider to a long-term investor in renewable energy infrastructure. The Bulgarian Ministry of Energy has approved the standalone BESS projects to receive subsidies under the Restore program. This program is specifically designed to support large-scale storage deployment and enhance grid stability nationwide. The approval provides additional financial backing for the battery storage components of SUNOTEC's investment portfolio.
