Shizen Energy Inc. has accomplished a significant milestone by reaching 100 MW of executed Renewable Energy Purchase Agreements with Microsoft Corporation for four solar power projects in Japan. The announcement, made on October 3, 2025, represents a major expansion of the partnership between the Japanese renewable energy company and the technology giant.

The achievement follows Microsoft's first Renewable Energy Purchase deal in Japan with the Inuyama Solar Power Plant, after which three additional 20-year agreements have been signed. These new solar power facilities are strategically located in the Kyushu and Chugoku regions of Japan, marking a geographical expansion of the collaboration.

Project Development and Operations Status

All four projects included in the 100 MW portfolio have successfully reached financial close, demonstrating strong investor confidence in the renewable energy initiatives. One of the power plants in the Kyushu region has already commenced operations, while the remaining projects are currently under construction. The construction responsibilities are being handled by Shizen Energy's organizational structure, with one of the projects being constructed by Shizen Engineering Inc., the company's wholly owned Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) subsidiary.

Once completed, all projects will be operated by Shizen Operations Inc., which manages operations and asset management through its wholly owned subsidiary.
