RWE has successfully connected its first four solar and battery storage projects to the UK grid, marking the company's entry into solar generation in the country. The projects deliver a combined 185 MW of new solar capacity and 35 MW of battery storage, generating enough clean electricity to power over 82,000 homes annually.

The four operational solar facilities are located across England in Devon, Nottinghamshire, Worcestershire, and Gloucestershire. Following the successful commercial operations of the co-located solar and battery project at Langford in Devon and the solar farm at Cotmoor in Nottinghamshire, the Doverdale facility in Worcestershire and Laynes Wood in Gloucestershire have now been connected to the grid.

These represent RWE's first operational, grid-connected solar sites in the UK and mark the beginning of the company's solar pipeline delivery. RWE currently has nine additional solar and co-located battery storage projects under construction across the UK.
