Q ENERGY France has secured €159 million in non-recourse project financing in 2024 to accelerate its renewable energy initiatives. This substantial funding will support the construction of new renewable energy facilities, enabling the generation of 55 MW of green power and reinforcing Europe’s clean energy infrastructure.

Major Developments and Strategic Partnerships

A highlight of Q ENERGY’s progress came in April 2025, with the completion of Europe’s largest floating solar power plant, funded by an initial investment of over €50 million. In December, long-term bank loans totaling €109 million were arranged and syndicated through BPCE Energeco for two wind and two solar power projects. Despite Velto Renewable acquiring all five financed power plants in Q1 2025, Q ENERGY remains actively involved as the EPC contractor and asset manager.

According to Sébastien Rondel, Head of Equity and Project Finance France at Q ENERGY, the successful financing reflects strong trust from banking partners in the company’s experienced teams and high-quality project pipeline. BPCE Energeco Managing Director Grégory Faillenet also expressed confidence in Q ENERGY’s role in driving France’s energy transition.
