MODEC, Inc. has officially launched its new Global Capability Center in Bengaluru, marking a major milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy. The new entity, TOYO MODEC OFS India Private Limited, is a joint venture between Offshore Frontier Solutions Pte. Ltd., a MODEC Group company, and Toyo Engineering India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Toyo Engineering Corporation.

The center aims to strengthen MODEC’s ability to deliver advanced offshore services and solutions across global markets, particularly in the fast-evolving Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) sector.

Situated on the 7th floor of Godrej Centre in Indiranagar, the center spans approximately 100,000 square feet. The facility is designed to foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and continuous operational improvement.

Currently employing nearly 200 professionals, the center plans to grow its workforce to 750 within the next three years. The recruitment will focus on roles in engineering, procurement, and end-to-end support for FPSO projects, generating high-value employment opportunities within India’s technology and energy sectors.

Supporting Global Operations

The launch of the Bengaluru center aligns with MODEC’s broader goal to scale operations quickly while ensuring consistent execution quality. The facility will play a critical role in supporting complex offshore energy projects and improving service delivery for international clients.

“Our Global Capability Center in India will allow us to respond to the increasingly sophisticated demands of FPSO projects worldwide,” said Hirohiko Miyata, President and CEO of MODEC. “It reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence in global offshore operations.”

The new center is expected to serve as a key hub for MODEC’s future projects, enabling the company to enhance scalability, reduce turnaround times, and maintain high standards of performance in a competitive energy landscape.
