The company recognizes the potential concerns regarding environmental and noise impacts and assures adherence to established regulations. They aim to build trust and collaboration with the community throughout the process.

Infrastructure and Renewable Energy: Meta acknowledges the importance of a robust infrastructure for its data centers.  Partnering with Xcel Energy, the company aims to utilize 100% renewable energy to power the facility.

What is LEED certification?

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. It's a widely recognized green building rating system that encourages sustainable practices throughout a building's life cycle. The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) created LEED, a framework for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of buildings that focuses on resource efficiency and environmental responsibility.

LEED-certified buildings aim to minimize their carbon footprint through energy efficiency, water conservation, and the use of recycled materials. This translates to lower operating costs and a smaller impact on the environment.
