STT GDC (ST Telemedia Global Data Centre) Philippines selects CIMIC’s Leighton Asia to develop the first phase of STT Fairview, a multi-phase data center project in Quezon City, Philippines. Leighton Asia in a joint venture with First Balfour, will construct the data center facility.
The STT Fairview 1 data center is a hyperscale data center facility that will provide colocation and cloud services to a wide range of customers in the Philippines. STT Fairview is the company’s largest and most interconnected Data center in the Philippines. STT Fairview will comprise a gross floor area of 83,000 square meters across four buildings. The data center will have a total IT load capacity of 124 MW. The project is estimated to be completed by 2024.
The data center will be located in a strategic location with access to major transportation networks and utilities. Leighton Asia will be responsible for the design and construction of the data center facility, which will include a hyper-converged infrastructure, a cloud-based management platform, and a high-security perimeter.
STT GDC Philippines is a joint venture between ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), Globe Telecom, and Ayala Corporation. The company was established in 2020 to develop and operate world-class data centers in the Philippines.
