GH2 Solar Establishes Green Hydrogen Plant in Madhya Pradesh with Korean and UK Technical Support
Madhya Pradesh is set to host a green hydrogen unit in Morena, with GH2 Solar Limited establishing the facility in Piparseva. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the hydrogen production unit on Sunday, describing the project as marking “the beginning of a new industrial revolution, a new energy revolution, and a new Madhya Pradesh.”
International Technical Collaboration
Leading companies from Korea and the United Kingdom are providing technical support for the hydrogen unit being established in Morena. The Chief Minister confirmed this international collaboration during his address to the public at the ceremony for GH2 Solar Limited's hydrogen production unit. The project represents part of Madhya Pradesh's broader focus on global partnerships in the renewable energy sector.
Earlier this year, the state sought international support through investment commitments from the United Arab Emirates, targeting key sectors such as electric vehicles, smart manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, renewable energy, and food processing.
Project Specifications and Employment Impact
The green hydrogen facility spans seven acres and will produce green hydrogen while integrating India with technologies, including hydrogen and battery energy storage. The project is expected to provide direct employment to 500 youth, along with numerous indirect employment opportunities. Green Hydrogen Factory promoter Anurag Jain was present at the ceremony, alongside other key stakeholders in the renewable energy sector.
