DataBank has acquired 85 acres of land in Culpeper, Virginia for the new data center campus. The company announced the acquisition this week and plans to develop a new 192 MW Data center campus. The new Culpeper campus will host up to three two-story data centers which will cover an area of 1.4 million square feet of space. The site also has a 300 MW on-site substation built by Dominion Energy.

The 85 acres of land the Databank has acquired in Culpeper will become home to the new “Culpeper campus”. It will use DataBank’s recently announced Universal Data Hall Design which is designed for high-density workloads. DataBank currently operates facilities in Virginia, Ashburn, and Mclean. Raul K Martynek DataBank CEO stated that Culpeper is an ideal location due to the availability of land, utility capacity, and data center infrastructure in the region.
