Meanwhile, the group has already secured orders for over 3000 MW in exports. The group also raised over USD 394 million for solar manufacturing from Barclays and Deutsche Banks. Indian government initiatives such as safeguard duty and product-linked incentive schemes have helped private players like the Adani Group invest in solar power.

Currently, India has a manufacturing capacity of 32 GW per annum, which is less than the required capacity of 52 GW per annum.
