ACME Solar Holdings announced on Monday that it has placed an order for 2 GWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with Chuzhou Lishen New Energy Technology Co., Ltd through POSCO International Corporation and China FAW Group Import and Export Co., Ltd. The order represents a significant expansion of the company's energy storage capabilities as it continues to build its renewable energy portfolio.

The delivery will be executed in phases over the next six to 10 months, with deployment scheduled across ACME Solar's Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) and standalone BESS projects. These projects are planned for commissioning over the next 12 to 18 months.

Strategic Procurement Milestone

With this latest order, ACME Solar's cumulative BESS procurement has surpassed 5 GWh, following a previous order of 3.1 GWh BESS placed in July 2025. According to Nikhil Dhingra, CEO of ACME Solar, this strategic purchase will ensure the timely availability of the BESS system, playing a key role in de-risking project commissioning timelines and accelerating overall project delivery.

ACME Solar Holdings operates as a leading integrated renewable energy player with a diversified portfolio spanning solar, wind, storage, and hybrid solutions. The company currently maintains an operational capacity of 2,890 MW across its various energy generation assets.
