GoldenPeaks Capital and Huawei Sign 500MWh Battery Storage Partnership Agreement in Europe
GoldenPeaks Capital Holdings Limited (GPC) and Huawei Polska Sp. z o.o. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) cooperation, with the two parties planning in-depth collaboration focusing on 500 MWh BESS projects. The agreement was announced on October 3, 2025, in Shenzhen.
Partnership Structure and Key Personnel
Adriano Agosti, Founder and Chairman of GPC, and Mr. Jianjun Zhou, Vice President of Huawei and President of Global Marketing, Sales, and Services of Huawei Digital Power, attended the signing ceremony. The MoU was formally signed by Fubin Lu, Chief Procurement Officer of GPC, and Nathan Zhao, Director of Huawei Poland Digital Power. This cooperation represents what the companies describe as a new milestone in their strategic partnership aimed at driving the European energy transition process.
The partnership combines Huawei's All-Scenario Grid Forming energy storage platform with leading safety standards, alongside GPC's expertise and growth strategy in Central and Eastern European markets.
Technology and Grid Integration Focus
The collaboration addresses grid stability challenges arising from the increasing proportion of renewable energy integration into electrical grids. Huawei will provide its proven All-Scenario Grid Forming energy storage platform, which the companies describe as designed to build state-of-the-art industry benchmark projects. According to Mr. Zhou, “Huawei Digital Power will support GPC's energy storage strategy in Europe with All-Scenario Grid Forming capabilities and end-to-end high-quality standards covering R&D, production, and services, to jointly respond to the EU's carbon neutrality goals.”
The partnership will support technology deployment and commercial operation in the region, with GPC leveraging its market presence to drive the ongoing energy transition in Central and Eastern Europe.

GPC's Renewable Energy Portfolio Expansion
For GPC, the cooperation provides technical support for its strategy of strengthening its presence in Poland and Hungary. The company describes itself as a major investor in the renewable energy sector in Central and Eastern Europe, having built what it calls a solid photovoltaic foundation in both countries. In 2024, GPC advanced its “2024 1GW Asset Target” by acquiring an additional 283MW of solar projects under construction.
In June 2025, the company added another 54MW/216 MWh BESS to its overall renewable portfolio, bringing its total ready-to-build (RtB) BESS portfolio to 392MW/1.6 GWh. All these projects have obtained 17-year revenue guarantees through Poland's capacity market auctions. Adriano Agosti stated that “GoldenPeaks Capital is setting new industry benchmarks in advanced battery storage systems.
Guided by a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability, we have leveraged our extensive expertise to become a leader in this field.” He added that “Huawei's technological innovation and GPC's regional business presence complement each other seamlessly.”
Established Partnership Track Record
The current agreement builds on an existing partnership between Huawei and GPC that has been active for seven years. During this period, leveraging Huawei's local technical expertise, comprehensive service capabilities, and global supply chain, GPC has ensured the stable operation of its 1.7GW solar projects in Poland and Hungary. The new 500 MWh BESS commitment represents GPC's ongoing investment in its latest BESS business division and demonstrates the company's trust in Huawei's ability to deliver high-quality, reliable technology across Europe.
The partnership also establishes a framework for future projects, supporting GPC's plans to deploy multiple utility-scale BESS projects across its core markets. GPC has invested in what it describes as state-of-the-art energy storage solutions designed to strengthen the reliability and efficiency of solar power projects. According to the company, its systems excel in optimizing peak shaving, time-of-use management, and demand charge reduction, delivering what it characterizes as maximum value and cost savings for clients.
The company describes itself as specializing in the construction and operation of solar systems and as one of the largest photovoltaic system owners in Poland and Hungary, with over 15 years of experience in structuring energy projects worldwide. GPC positions itself as a pioneer in introducing new technologies in Eastern Europe, with various BESS and PV pilot projects in Poland and Hungary.
GoldenPeaks Capital has received the highest sustainability quality score (SQS1) from Moody's for its green bond framework, recognizing what the rating agency characterized as the company's green commitment.
