List of Top Data Centers in Indiana, United States 2025
Table of Contents
The data centers in Indiana are experiencing notable demand with major investments by data center players like Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, and Google. From AWS's major USD 11 billion data center project in St. Joseph County (New Carlisle) to Google's USD 2 billion "Project Zodiac" data center campus in Fort Wayne, the state is progressing towards expanding its data center market and actively contributing to strengthening the US position in the Global Data Center Market.
Indiana is considered one of the emerging markets for data centers in the US, backed by state laws such as the Data Center Gross Retail & Use Tax Exemption that offers qualified data centers to exemption from state sales/use tax on purchases of eligible equipment and even the electricity used by that equipment (excluding administrative use). In this blog, we have listed the major data centers in Indiana as of November 2025.

Amazon Web Services (Rainier)
The Project Rainier is one of the world's largest AI compute clusters by AWS that will deliver nearly half a million Trainium 2 chips with Anthropic scaling to more than one million chips by the end of 2025.
The project Rainier is named after the 14,410-foot (4,392-meter) stratovolcano. The construction of the project began in September 2024, and within seven months, 7 of its 30 planned buildings were completed and operational. The project space expands 1,200 acres and will draw 2.2 GW of power sufficient to serve 1.6 million homes. Each building exceeds 200,000 square feet and forms part of the world's largest cluster of non-NVIDIA AI chips.
The high-voltage infrastructure was delivered by Indiana Michigan Power, a subsidiary of American Electric Power. The project became operational in October 2025.
Digital Crossroads Hammond Expansion
CoreWeave announced a 180 MW capacity data center at the Digital Crossroads campus in Hammond, Indiana, in June 2025. The Digital Crossroads data center, spanning 105,000 sq. ft (9,755 sqm is an operational data center built by Decennial Group.
Meta Lebanon LEAP District Campus
Meta's Lebanon LEAP District Campus is known as the Project Dominos in Lebanon, Indiana's LEAP Research and Innovation District. The project was recently approved by the planning commission.
The project site is located both north and south of State Road 32 between County Roads 250 West and 400 West. The Project Domino includes the construction of a 1500-acre campus, which will include 15 total buildings. The 15 buildings include 12 data center buildings, one network building, one logistics warehouse building, and one administrative building.
The Project Domino is a multi-phase project planned by Meta with an initial investment of USD 800 million, planned in over 6 phases of development. The total investment by Meta is expected to be about USD 4 billion for the project.
The project received a 10-year 50% abatement under Real Property Tax Assessment and a 35-year 100% abatement under Personal Property Tax Abatement. To receive these abatements, Meta will pay a yearly USD 1.5 million community impact payment. The project is currently in the planning stage.
Microsoft La Porte Data Center
The Microsoft La Porte Data Center is being planned by Microsoft with an investment of USD 1 billion. The company will construct a 245,000 square foot data center situated on 489 acres at the Radius Industrial Park in La Porte, Indiana.
Developed by Microsoft, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) committed an investment in the form of a 35-year term data center sales tax credit for a minimum of USD 1 billion in eligible capital investment. Under this, for every additional USD 1 billion invested by Microsoft in this project within the first 15 years, Microsoft will be eligible for tax exemptions for an additional 5-10 year period, totalling the term agreement for 35 to 45 years.
La Porte Data Center also received additional incentives from the government of La Porte City and the Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO). The project is currently in the "entitlement phase," which involves permitting and other pre-construction steps. The construction is expected to begin in late 2025 or early 2026.

Google Fort Wayne Data Center (Project Zodiac)
Google's Fort Wayne data center campus, also known as Project Zodiac, is a 12-building campus spanning over 700 acres in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The project Zodiac was first announced by Google with an investment of USD 2 billion in 2024, and recently, in September 2025, an expansion was announced.
The expansion will have five additional buildings, which include 4 new data center buildings and a fifth, smaller electrical transmission line building on land near East Paulding and Adams Center roads. Back in July 2024, Google signed a 15-year PPA to secure 100 MW of solar power from a project in Dubois County, Indiana, to support this hyperscale data center campus.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) committed an investment to Google in the form of a 35-year term data center sales tax exemption with an initial exemption of USD 800 million eligible capital. Under this exemption, for every USD 800 million Google invests in these projects will receive an extended exemption of 5 years, bringing the total term to 50 years. The project is currently under construction, with completion expected in 2029.
Meta Jeffersonville Data Center
Meta is developing the Jeffersonville Hyperscale campus in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Owned by Meta, this project is being developed by Turner Construction Company (a subsidiary of HOCHTIEF and ACS Group). The contract was awarded by Meta to Turner Construction Company on 26th January 2024.
The project was initially announced in 2024 with an investment of USD 800 million. This hyperscale campus will span 700,000 square feet and will have multiple data center buildings. Currently, the project is under construction and is expected to be completed by 2026. Once operational, the Jeffersonville Data Center will be supported by 100% renewable energy and will achieve LEED Gold certification from the U. S. Green Building Council.
