While zoning approval has been secured through a Planned Unit Development (PUD). The project has faced local opposition, with the Fort Meade City Commission delaying final development approvals as of early 2026.

The Cielo Haines City Data Center is a planned hyperscale data center campus in Polk County, Florida, being developed by Cielo Digital Infrastructure with a total capacity of 300 MW. The project spans 74 acres and is designed to support large-scale AI and cloud computing workloads through multiple high-density data center buildings and associated power infrastructure. 

 

It forms part of Cielo’s broader U.S. pipeline of multi-site developments, many of which follow a modular, phased build-out model with dedicated substations to ensure reliable power delivery. While a confirmed construction timeline for the Florida site has not been disclosed, similar projects in Cielo’s portfolio indicate a multi-year rollout aligned with hyperscaler demand. 

 

The Haines City location positions the campus within a growing Central Florida data center corridor, benefiting from available land, grid connectivity, and proximity to major network routes, making it suitable for high-capacity, next-generation digital infrastructure deployment.

Atlas Compute AI Data Center Campus

The Atlas Compute AI Data Center Campus is a planned high-performance computing facility in Central Florida, with land secured in Fort Pierce within St. Lucie County. Developed by Miami-based Atlas Compute, the project is designed with an initial capacity of 240 MW, with expansion potential up to 1 GW to support large-scale AI, cloud, and machine learning workloads. 

 

The campus will feature liquid-cooled, AI-optimized infrastructure built in partnership with Penguin Solutions, specifically engineered for NVIDIA GPU-based compute environments. A key technical focus is advanced thermal management through closed-loop, water-free cooling systems, reducing water dependency while maintaining efficiency for high-density racks. 

 

Although no formal development application had been submitted as of early 2026, zoning verification has been issued for a proposed site at Midway Industrial Park, indicating early-stage planning progress. The facility is expected to become operational by 2027, positioning it as a next-generation AI-ready data center campus aligned with the rising demand for hyperscale compute capacity.

Project Tango Data Center Campus

Project Tango is a proposed hyperscale AI data center campus in Loxahatchee, Palm Beach County, Florida, being developed by PBA Holdings on approximately 202 acres. The project is designed to deliver up to 3.7 million square feet of data center space across nine multi-story buildings, positioning it among the largest planned data center campuses in the state. 

 

Strategically located near Florida Power & Light’s West County Energy Center, which provides substantial power capacity, the facility is intended to support high-performance computing, AI workloads, and large-scale data storage. The site already has prior industrial zoning approval from 2016, but current expansion plans are under review. 

 

Despite receiving a recommendation for approval from the zoning commission in late 2025, the project has faced significant community opposition related to noise, water usage for cooling, traffic, and environmental impact. As a result, the Palm Beach County Commission has delayed final approval decisions into 2026, with further evaluations ongoing.

NextNRG Nassau County Campus

The NextNRG Nassau County Data Center Campus is a large-scale energy-integrated development planned in Florida, combining hyperscale data infrastructure with an advanced 200 MW smart microgrid. Located on a 1,600-acre site near Jacksonville International Airport, the project allocates around 1,200 acres for energy infrastructure and 400 acres for data center development, with additional expansion potential across 6,000 nearby acres. 

 

Designed for phased deployment, the campus allows operators to begin with 50 MW modules and scale toward 200 MW or more, reducing upfront capital risk and accelerating time-to-market. A key differentiator is NextNRG’s hybrid energy model, integrating gas, grid power, renewables, solar-plus-storage systems, and AI-driven energy management platforms such as its Utility Operating System and predictive analytics tools. 

 

The site offers strong fundamentals, including firm power availability, water access, and sub-1ms fiber connectivity, positioning it as a next-generation AI and cloud infrastructure hub with built-in energy resilience and scalability.
