Eku Energy Starts the Construction of 130 MWh BESS Projects in UK

Eku Energy has commenced the construction of two new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in the UK. These projects, situated in Basildon, Essex, and Loudwater, Buckinghamshire, boast a combined capacity of 130 MWh. They will be built using NHOA Energy’s battery energy storage systems, marking the company’s expansion into the UK market. The projects are slated to become operational by the end of 2024.

NHOA Energy, a Tier-1 supplier renowned for designing and delivering turn-key energy storage systems, already has over 1.6 GWh of capacity online, with numerous BESS projects under construction globally. In addition to supplying the stand-alone battery energy storage systems for Basildon and Loudwater, NHOA Energy will also enter into a long-term service agreement with Eku Energy for the operational maintenance of the batteries.
