Sunraycer Renewables LLC announced on September 9, 2025, the execution of two Revenue Swap Agreements with ENGIE Energy Marketing North America (EEMNA) to support its Midpoint and Gaia battery energy storage projects in Texas. The agreements will facilitate the construction and operations of Sunraycer's battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, delivering approximately 125 MWac and 250 MWh of capacity and ancillary services to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) grid.
Project Details and Locations
The Midpoint project, located near Blum, Texas, will provide 50 MWac / 100 MWh of capacity. The Gaia project, situated near Kerens, Texas, will contribute 75 MWac / 150 MWh of capacity. Both projects are scheduled for commercial operation in the fourth quarter of 2025. The combined projects will deliver clean energy and ancillary services to the ERCOT grid, supporting the region's energy infrastructure needs.
