STT GDC is Set to Invest $229 Million to Expand its Data Center Capacity in Tamil Nadu

STT Global Data Centers has announced plans to invest USD 229 million in expanding its operational capacity in Tamil Nadu. Presently, the company boasts close to 45 MW of operational capacity in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Additionally, STT GDC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Tamil Nadu during the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024.

STT GDC India aims to develop additional data center capacity of up to 80 MW critical load in multiple phases over the next 5 to 7 years across suitable locations in the state. This investment will further solidify Tamil Nadu's position as a key data center hub in India. The state already hosts data centers from major players like NTT, Yotta, and CtrlS, making it a preferred destination for enterprises seeking reliable and secure data storage solutions.
