Qualitas Energy has completed the commissioning of all eight turbines at its Nachtsheim-Luxem wind farm in Germany, bringing a 33.6 megawatt renewable energy project fully online and adding a significant block of clean electricity capacity to the country's power grid.

The announcement was made from Berlin, where Qualitas Energy is headquartered. The completion marks the conclusion of the commissioning phase for all eight Enercon E-138 turbines installed at the site, which is located in the Nachtsheim-Luxem area of Germany.

Project Scale and Electricity Output

The Nachtsheim-Luxem wind farm carries a total installed capacity of 33.6 megawatts, distributed across the eight Enercon E-138 turbines. According to Qualitas Energy, the project is expected to generate more than 92 million kilowatt-hours of renewable electricity per year. The company states that this level of output is sufficient to supply clean electricity to more than 29,000 households.

The Enercon E-138 is the turbine model selected for the project, with eight units forming the full complement of the wind farm. The commissioning of all eight turbines has now been confirmed as complete.

Environmental Impact

Qualitas Energy has provided figures on the projected environmental benefits of the wind farm's operation. The company states that the project is expected to avoid around 49,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually when compared with fossil-based electricity generation.

This calculation reflects the displacement of conventionally generated power by renewable output from the wind farm over the course of a full year of operation.

The avoidance of 49,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year and the supply of electricity to more than 29,000 households are figures Qualitas Energy has cited as indicators of the project's contribution to Germany's broader renewable energy objectives.
