The PNE Group has completed the sale of its Romescamps wind farm project in northern France to JP Energie Environnement, marking the German developer's second successful transaction with the same buyer and continuing what the company describes as a strong run of project sales through 2026.

Project Details and Location

The Romescamps wind farm is situated in the Hauts-de-France region of northern France and consists of three wind turbines with a combined installed capacity of 10.8 megawatts.

The project was developed by PNE France and was advanced to ready-to-build status before the sale was concluded. According to PNE, effective value engineering carried out during the development phase made it possible to significantly increase both the hub height of the turbines and the overall electricity generation potential of the site.

The transaction closed on 7 July 2026, with the project transferred to JP Energie Environnement, known as JPEE. PNE was advised on the deal by Alaïa Advisory.

Under a Project Development Agreement established as part of the transaction, PNE France will continue to provide selected development support to JPEE following the closing.

A Deepening Relationship with JPEE

The Romescamps sale is the second project PNE has completed with JPEE in France, a detail both companies highlighted as significant. Xavier Nass, Chief Executive of JP Energie Environnement, said the deal further strengthened what he described as a trusted relationship between the two organisations.

Nass characterised the Romescamps wind farm as a strong addition to JPEE's renewable energy portfolio and said it aligned with the company's long-term development ambitions.

From PNE's side, Roland Stanze, Chief Operating Officer of PNE AG, said the transaction confirmed the quality of the group's project development work in France and demonstrated the consistent execution of its broader strategy. Stanze described that strategy as concentrating on core markets and selectively developing high-quality projects with attractive returns.

France as a Core Market

PNE has identified France as one of its core markets, and the company stated that additional projects in the country are already in advanced stages of development and sale.

The Romescamps deal is presented by the group not as an isolated event but as part of a sustained effort to build and monetise a pipeline of wind energy assets in France.

The Hauts-de-France region, where Romescamps is located, is in the northern part of the country and has historically been one of France's more active areas for onshore wind development. PNE's French subsidiary handled the development of the project through to the ready-to-build milestone before the asset changed hands.

Part of a Broader 2026 Sales Programme

The Romescamps transaction is one of several project sales PNE has completed or announced in 2026. The group also sold the Bokel wind farm in Germany, which has a capacity of 25.2 megawatts.

In Poland, PNE completed the sale of a wind farm project with a planned total capacity of 72 megawatts, as well as a photovoltaic project with a capacity of approximately 40 megawatts.

Taken together, these transactions span three countries and multiple technologies, reflecting the geographic and sectoral spread of PNE's development pipeline. The group has not disclosed the financial terms of any of these transactions, including the Romescamps deal.

Strategic Context

PNE's approach in France, as described in the company's own statements around this transaction, centres on developing projects to a high level of readiness and then transferring them to buyers while retaining some ongoing involvement through development support arrangements.

The Project Development Agreement attached to the Romescamps sale, under which PNE France will continue supporting JPEE, is consistent with this model.

The COO's comments point to a deliberate focus on selectivity in project development rather than volume, with the emphasis placed on quality and return potential.

The repeated nature of the JPEE partnership suggests that PNE is also placing value on building durable commercial relationships with buyers in the French market, rather than conducting purely transactional one-off sales.

JPEE, for its part, is adding the Romescamps asset to what Nass described as a growing renewable energy portfolio, with the acquisition framed as consistent with the company's long-term ambitions in the sector.

The involvement of a continuing development support arrangement from PNE indicates that the relationship between the two companies will extend beyond the formal closing of this transaction.

Powering Smarter Decisions Across Germany's Energy Landscape

Germany's power sector is undergoing one of its most consequential transformations in decades, from grid modernisation and offshore wind expansion to nuclear recommissioning and cross-border interconnection projects. Staying ahead of where investment is flowing and where contracts are being awarded is no longer a competitive advantage; it is a baseline requirement for anyone operating in this space.

The Global Project Tracking (GPT) platform by Blackridge Research gives energy professionals a structured, continuously updated view of power infrastructure activity across Germany, consolidating intelligence that would otherwise take weeks to gather manually. Whether you are identifying entry points for new business or benchmarking your pipeline against market activity, the platform is built to support decisions at every stage of the project lifecycle.

From early-stage planning through to completion, no phase of a project's development goes untracked. Teams across Germany rely on this depth of coverage to reduce research time, minimise missed opportunities, and engage with the right projects at the right moment.
