Perceptive Discovery announced on October 16, 2026, the availability of astatine-211 (At-211) radiopharmaceutical development studies at its US and UK locations, becoming the first US provider able to execute At-211 studies.
The milestone builds on the company's strategic collaboration with Atley Solutions and expands access to specialized infrastructure and scientific expertise for biotech and pharmaceutical companies developing next-generation targeted alpha therapies. Perceptive Discovery is now accepting inquiries for At-211 development programs at both its US and UK sites.
First Atley C100 Module Operational in London
At Perceptive Discovery's laboratory at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), the first Atley C100 module within the collaboration has been installed and successfully used to purify At-211 from an irradiated bismuth-209 target. The Atley C100 is an automated manufacturing platform purpose-built for At-211 radiopharmaceuticals.
In the US, At-211 delivered in solution is available from multiple sources, enabling the team to begin supporting US studies immediately with confidence around isotope supply. A second Atley C100 module is expected to be installed at Perceptive Discovery's Needham, Massachusetts, facility later this month, further expanding the company's At-211 development capabilities.
Addressing a Barrier to Targeted Alpha Therapy Development
At-211 is an emerging alpha-emitting radionuclide with significant potential for targeted radiopharmaceutical therapies. However, according to the company, limited access to specialized infrastructure and radiochemistry expertise has been a barrier to broader development.
With the new capabilities in place, sponsors can access specialized At-211 radiochemistry expertise and infrastructure alongside Perceptive Discovery's broader preclinical and translational radiopharmaceutical development capabilities.

Technical Capabilities on Offer
Perceptive combines At-211 access with established radiopharmaceutical development expertise, including internal radiolabeling experience across proteins, peptides, and small molecules, and multiple precursor chemistries, including boronic acid, boronic ester, tributyl tin, and trimethyl tin approaches. Analytical characterization is performed using radio-iTLC and HPLC-based methods.
The offering also includes dedicated At-211 development infrastructure through the collaboration with Atley Solutions, an operational Atley C100 module at QMUL, and planned expansion to the US, integrated with preclinical imaging, biodistribution, dosimetry, efficacy, and translational development capabilities.
Leadership Commentary
"The ability to execute At-211 studies across our UK and US operations represents an important expansion of what we can offer sponsors developing targeted alpha therapies," said Ben Murphy, CEO of Perceptive Discovery.
"The installation and successful testing of the first Atley C100 module mark an important milestone in our collaboration with Atley. By combining access to At-211 with our established expertise in radiochemistry, in vivo imaging, oncology models, dosimetry, assay development, and translational radiopharmaceutical workflows, we can help sponsors generate the decision-ready data needed to advance promising programs toward the clinic."
"The availability of these systems marks an important next step in our collaboration with Perceptive Discovery," said Milton Lönnroth, CEO of Atley Solutions. "Establishing dedicated At-211 infrastructure in the US and UK expands access for developers and helps create the foundation needed to advance the next generation of At-211 radiopharmaceuticals."
According to the announcement, the successful deployment of the first module at the QMUL site, together with the planned installation of a second module at the Needham facility, provides a foundation for expanding dedicated infrastructure to support the growing number of biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies exploring At-211-based targeted alpha therapies.
