The Nordex Group (turbine manufacturer) has secured a 525 MW wind turbine order in Türkiye from Türkerler Holding (a large Turkish conglomerate), marking what the Hamburg-based manufacturer describes as the biggest single turbine deal in the Turkish wind energy market to date.

Deal Structure and Contract Terms

The contract covers the supply and installation of 72 N175/6.X turbines from Nordex's Delta4000 series and includes a 10-year Premium Service agreement with the possibility of extending that arrangement to 25 years. The turbines will be installed at a hub height of 108 meters, and installation of the first unit is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027.

The project is identified as YEKA-5 R25 Sivas, located in the Sivas region of Türkiye. According to Nordex, the site benefits from good and consistent wind conditions that the company says make it well suited to the N175/6.X turbine model.

Market Position and Cumulative Share

Nordex stated that with this order, its cumulative market share in the Turkish wind market now stands at 34 percent. The company has previously been involved in YEKA projects in Türkiye, though the current deal represents a new scale of engagement in a single transaction.

Ender Özatay, Vice President for the Türkiye and Middle East region at Nordex, said the order demonstrates the competitiveness of the N175/6.X technology as well as the strength of the company's local supply chain.

"Following our success in earlier YEKA projects, this order once again demonstrates the competitiveness of our N175/6.X technology, our strong local supply chain, and the confidence customers place in our team and technology," Özatay said in a statement accompanying the announcement.

The Customer: Türkerler Holding

Türkerler Holding is described by Nordex as a regular customer. The conglomerate operates across a wide range of sectors including construction, energy, healthcare, real estate development, renewable energy, electricity distribution and trading, public-private partnership projects, and textiles.

The order reflects Türkerler Holding's continued investment in the renewable energy projects, with Nordex noting that the agreement is intended to support what it characterized as the customer's ambitious growth in that space.

The N175/6.X and Delta4000 Platform

The turbines at the center of this contract belong to Nordex's Delta4000 product series, which sits within the company's broader portfolio focused on onshore machines in the 4 to 7 MW and above classes.

The product range is designed, according to Nordex, to address the requirements of markets with limited available land and regions where grid capacity is constrained.

The N175/6.X designation refers to a rotor diameter of 175 meters within the 6 MW-plus class. The 108-meter hub height specification for the Sivas project places the rotor at a level suited to the wind profile Nordex identified at that site.

Company Scale and Manufacturing Footprint

Nordex has commissioned more than 64 gigawatts of wind power capacity across more than 40 markets since its founding in 1985. The company reported consolidated sales of approximately 8.77 billion in 2025 and currently employs more than 11,100 people globally.

Its manufacturing network spans factories in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, and the United States. A global service network supports turbine operations across its installed base. Nordex SE is listed on both the MDAX and TecDAX indices of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the ISIN DE000A0D6554.

The announcement was made on August 6, 2026, and distributed through EQS News as a corporate news release.
