Micron has signed a union deal to develop the $15 billion semiconductor manufacturing facility in Boise, Idaho, US. The company will hire 3700 construction workers from the labor unions. This could provide the company with a possible benefit in the tough competition for federal funds. Micron expects to commence the operations of the semiconductor facility by 2026. In addition, the project is projected to create more than 2,000 permanent jobs by the end of the decade.
