In India, L&T has secured an order for revamping power distribution systems with SCADA and smart technology integration in two towns. The project scope includes jobs pertaining to distribution transformer stations and the conversion of overhead electrical lines into underground cabling systems. UAE STATCOM Systems Implementation

The company has received an order from the United Arab Emirates for the design, delivery, and construction of two ±300 MVAr STATCOM systems. These systems will be installed at existing 400 kV substations specifically for dynamic reactive power compensation purposes. STATCOM technology provides an automated and instantaneous response to mitigate system fluctuations, with power quality improvements achieved through real-time injection or absorption of reactive power, thereby stabilizing voltage levels.
