Inox Wind Limited (wind energy solutions provider) has won a repeat 200 MW turnkey wind energy order from NLC India Limited (Navratna fossil-fuel mining and power generation CPSE), valued at approximately USD 167.15 million, the company announced in a press release. The deal marks a deepening partnership between the two organizations, following an earlier collaboration that began in January 2024.

Scope of the Contract

Under the terms of the agreement, Inox Wind will be responsible for end-to-end execution of the project. This includes the supply of wind turbine generators, engineering, procurement, and construction services, as well as post-commissioning operations and maintenance. The project is scheduled to be commissioned within 24 months from the date of the Letter of Award.

The contract is structured on a turnkey basis, meaning Inox Wind carries full responsibility for delivering the completed project to NLC India Limited, one of India's public sector enterprises in the power sector.

A Repeat Engagement Built on Prior Work

The two companies first worked together in January 2024, when Inox Wind secured an order to execute a 50 MW Inter-State Transmission System-connected wind project on a turnkey basis. Under that earlier contract, Inox Wind was responsible for the supply, installation, and commissioning of its DF 113/92–2.0 MW Wind Turbine Generators.

The company was also contracted to provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services for more than 10 years following the commissioning of that project. That earlier project is being developed at the Dayapar site in the Kutch district of Gujarat.

The new 200 MW order represents a significant scaling up of the relationship, with the contracted capacity quadrupling compared to the initial 50 MW engagement.

Order Book Reaches 4.7 GW

With the addition of this latest contract, Inox Wind's total order book now stands at 4.7 GW. The company described the portfolio as comprising a diversified mix of customers, including commercial and industrial buyers, public sector undertakings, and independent power producers. The company said the order book provides long-term execution visibility and reinforces its growth trajectory in the Indian wind energy market.

Leadership Comment

Sanjeev Agarwal, CEO of Inox Wind Ltd., commented on the announcement, calling the order a validation of the company's capabilities. "We are delighted to have secured this repeat order of 200 MW turnkey order from NLC India Limited, one of India's leading public sector enterprises in the power sector," Agarwal said.
