INOX Air Products has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government to establish a green ammonia plant with an estimated project cost of USD 3 billion. The plant, expected to have a capacity of 500,000 metric tonnes per year, is set to be commissioned within the next five years.

The plant will produce liquid ammonia, serving as a climate-neutral hydrogen carrier. The MoU was signed during the World Economic Forum annual meeting. Additionally, the organization recently announced the expansion of its Project Delivery Centre (PDC) in Vadodara, India, providing engineering, procurement, construction, and project execution services.

The green ammonia produced can be utilized in various industries, such as fertilizers, refrigeration, and power generation, fostering industrial growth.
