Enfinity Global (renewable energy company) has crossed a significant threshold in its Italian renewable energy operations, announcing 535 MW of operational solar capacity achieved across 18 solar PV plants in just three years, the company said in a statement issued July 14, 2026, from Milan.

Scale and Speed of Deployment

The milestone marks what the company describes as a rapid buildout of energy infrastructure in one of Europe's major electricity markets. The 18 operational solar PV plants are located in the Italian regions of Lazio and Emilia-Romagna and are expected to generate nearly 1 terawatt-hour of renewable energy per year. According to Enfinity Global, that volume of generation is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 350,000 households.

The company said the portfolio avoids the emission of 290,904 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent annually, a figure calculated using the United States Environmental Protection Agency Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator, as noted in the company's disclosure.

Alessandro Ceschiat, General Manager for Italy at Enfinity Global, said the operational milestone demonstrates the company's capacity to deploy energy infrastructure at scale.

"Reaching 535 MW in operation is an important milestone because it demonstrates our ability to deploy energy infrastructure that serves the country, generating value, direct employment and local economic benefits," Ceschiat said.

"Every megawatt that enters operation contributes to strengthening Italy's energy security, supporting the competitiveness of its productive system and contributing to decarbonization goals."

Italy Ranking and Authorized Pipeline

According to data from energy consultancy Elemens cited by Enfinity Global, the company is currently the second-largest operator in Italy by authorized solar capacity, having exceeded the 1 gigawatt threshold. That figure encompasses both operational assets and those that have received authorization but are not yet generating power.

Beyond solar, Enfinity Global said it is expanding its presence in energy storage, with approximately 600 MW of battery energy storage systems, or BESS, authorized in Italy. These figures sit within an overall Italian development pipeline that the company places at 9.1 gigawatts.

The growth of the Italian portfolio has been supported by what Enfinity Global describes as expertise in capital structuring and project financing. The company said it has attracted over one billion euros in investment for the Italian portfolio to date.

Operational and Financial Execution

Maria Diez, General Manager for Operations in Europe at Enfinity Global, credited the achievement to both internal teams and external partners. "This achievement was made possible thanks to the commitment of our people in Italy and Europe and the collaboration of industrial, financial and institutional partners who share our vision," Diez said. "It is a team effort that continues to turn ambitious projects into operational assets at the service of the Italian energy system."

The company did not provide a breakdown of individual project capacities or specific financial terms associated with the investment figure disclosed.

Company Profile and Global Portfolio

Enfinity Global was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in the United States, with offices in Europe, Japan, and India. The company employs over 400 people globally and describes its business as providing energy services to corporate, industrial, and institutional clients seeking to meet power demand around the clock.

The company's overall portfolio stands at 39.6 gigawatts of renewable energy and storage projects. Within that total, 1.2 gigawatts are classified as operating assets and 1.6 gigawatts are under construction, with the remainder comprising development-stage projects across its key markets. Italy represents one of the company's most advanced operational markets in terms of installed and authorized capacity.

Enfinity Global said its Italian operations form part of a broader European strategy, with the July 14 announcement also referencing 1.8 terawatt-hours of renewable energy deals signed in Italy, though specific details of those commercial agreements were not elaborated upon in the press release.
