Bremen-based project developer and operator of wind and solar parks Energiekontor AG has received permits under the German Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) for four wind park projects located in North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony.
Four Approvals across North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony
The permits were granted in September and October 2026 and cover a total of 21 wind turbines with a combined capacity of around 142 megawatts. The company announced the approvals in a press release dated 9 October 2026.
The four approved projects have total generation capacities of around 34, 43, 48, and 17 megawatts, respectively. According to the company, the permits mark an important step in the further development of Energiekontor's German project pipeline.
Nine Approvals and 250 MW in the 2026 Financial year
With these latest permits, Energiekontor has now received approvals for nine wind park projects in Germany in the 2026 financial year to date, with a total capacity of around 250 megawatts.
Günter Eschen, a member of the Management Board of Energiekontor AG, described the permits as further important achievements for the company's project development activities in Germany. He noted that the approvals demonstrate the company continues to advance its German project pipeline even in a challenging market environment.
Eschen said that complex permitting procedures in particular require considerable experience, perseverance and close coordination with all parties involved, and expressed particular thanks to the project teams and all colleagues who have driven these projects forward with great dedication. The projects, he said, will now be advanced through the next stages of development.
