Edged Energy has launched its first four data center facilities in the US, each designed to accommodate high-density AI workloads and equipped with advanced waterless cooling and ultra-efficient energy systems. These facilities boast a combined critical IT load capacity of over 300 MW.

The initial phase of the US expansion comprises a 168 MW campus in Atlanta, a 96 MW campus in the Chicago area, 36 MW in Phoenix, and 24 MW in Kansas City. Compared to conventional data centers, the new Edged facilities are projected to save more than 1.2 billion gallons of water annually.

Bryant Farland, Chief Executive Officer of Edged, emphasized, “The rise of AI and machine learning demands more power, often accompanied by increased water consumption to cool outdated servers. While traditional data centers struggle to adapt, edged facilities are primed for advanced computing needs, both now and in the future, without relying on water for cooling.”

Construction is currently underway for the new Edged data centers in Atlanta, Chicago, and Kansas City, with openings scheduled for later this year. According to a press statement, additional U.S. sites are expected to commence construction in major urban markets in the coming months.
