Mingyang Hydrogen, a Chinese electrolyser maker, has signed a contract to supply 100MW of equipment to two green hydrogen projects in Brazil. This move makes Mingyang Hydrogen the latest Chinese supplier to win orders from outside Europe and North America. Executives from Green World Energy Hydrogen and Mingyang Hydrogen have shaken hands after signing the contract, marking a significant development in the green hydrogen sector.

Project Details

The projects in question are green hydrogen projects located in Brazil, with Mingyang Hydrogen set to supply 100MW of equipment. It includes a 20MW Phase 1 supply to Qair Brasil’s H2BRASIL project and an 80MW alkaline electrolyser deal with Green World Energy Hydrogen.

Companies Involved

Mingyang Hydrogen is the Chinese electrolyser maker behind the supply deal, while Green World Energy Hydrogen is the other party involved in the contract. The partnership between these two companies is expected to contribute to the growth of the green hydrogen sector in Brazil.

The Beijing-based manufacturer will deliver four complete hydrogen production units to the project in Fortaleza, each capable of producing 1,000Nm3/hour of hydrogen, to Qair Brazil for the project’s first phase. They expect to complete the delivery next year.

Meanwhile, MYHT signed a deal to supply a mix of 1,000Nm3/hr and 2,000Nm3/hr alkaline electrolyser units to Brazil’s GWE, and will also provide technical support for GWE’s multiple green development projects.
