First Solar

First Solar is one of the top solar PV module manufacturers in the world. It is an American solar manufacturing company that manufactures solar PV modules. It was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona. In 2019, it became America's and the Western Hemisphere's largest solar module manufacturer.
First Solar recently announced its plans to invest USD 3.2 billion to expand its solar manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Their portfolio boasts Desert Sunlight solar farm and Topaz Solar farm, which are one of the biggest solar farms in US.
It is one of the major players in the solar panel manufacturing market and has manufacturing facilities in Ohio. Recently, they have opened a manufacturing facility in Alabama, and another facility is expected to begin operations in Louisiana by the end of 2025. By the end of 2026, First Solar is estimated to have a capacity of over 14 GW in the United States.

Qcells was founded in 1999 in Germany. It was later acquired by Hanwha Group in 2012 due to bankruptcy and was rebranded as Hanwha Qcells. It launched its US subsidiary, Hanwha Qcells USA, in 2019, which is headquartered in Dalton, USA. It is known to produce fully integrated cells and modules for its consumers.
It is one of the major players in the solar panel manufacturing segment. It has manufacturing facilities located in Georgia and currently has a capacity of 8400 MWdc/yr.

It has a US base in Walnut Creek, California. It has a manufacturing capacity of 5000 MWdc/yr in its Texas facility. On 6th May 2025, Canadian Solar launched its cutting-edge SolBank 3.0 Plus battery energy storage product at Intersolar Europe.

T1 Energy (Trina Solar US)

T1 Energy (Formerly FREYR Battery) is a US-based solar panel manufacturer. It was rebranded and is headquartered in Austin, Texas. On 24th December 2024, the company announced it has completed the acquisition of Trina Solar's U.S. manufacturing Assets, which include Trina Solar's 5 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Wilmer, Texas.
In February 2025, FREYR Battery rebranded itself as T1 Energy. On 16th June, 2025, T1 Energy announced its plans to construct a 5 GW solar cell and module factory in Austin, Texas. As a part of this, T1 Energy selected Yates Construction as a contractor for preconstruction services and site preparation. This G2 Austin Factory is expected to start production of TOPCon solar cells by the second half of 2026. The estimated cost of this plant is estimated as USD 850 million.

Illuminate USA

Illuminate USA is an advanced solar panel manufacturing company based in Pataskala, Ohio. It is majorly owned by Invenergy, a U.S.-based renewable energy developer, and Chinese solar LONGi Green Energy Technology. It was founded in 2023.
Illuminate USA is a leading U.S. solar panel manufacturer that operates about 1.1 million-square-foot facility. This facility in Ohio produces more than 9.2 million advanced solar panels annually, which is equivalent to 5 GW of electricity production, enough to supply one million homes.

Mission Solar

Mission Solar Energy is a US-based solar modules company founded in 2014. Located in San Antonio, Texas, it is known to provide solutions for residential, commercial, and utility-scale markets.
On 20th March 2025, Mission Solar Energy announced USD 265 million to add 2 GW of solar cell production capacity at its San Antonio, TX campus. This expansion is expected to be completed by early 2026. The company intends to manufacture these solar cells using polysilicon, which will be sourced from Malaysia-based OCI TerraSus, produced using hydropower.

Bila Solar

Bila Solar is a Singapore-based, US-headquartered solar manufacturing company. It is headquartered in Indianapolis, USA. It is well known for its 535-550 MW dual glass conventional solar panels manufactured in Indiana. It produces patented ultra-lightweight solar modules and newly launched 550W dual-glass conventional panels at its 157,000 square-foot facility that qualifies for the 10% domestic content bonus under the current federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC).
In February 2025, Bila Solar and ES Foundry signed a multi-year agreement to supply 300 MW of US-made solar cells to Bila Solar. These cells will be made in Greenwood, South Carolina. Likewise, on June 16th, 2025, Bila Solar announced it has begun production at its manufacturing facility in Indiana using the US-made solar cells supplied by ES Foundry in South Carolina.
Bila Solar aims to reach 300 MW of production in phase one of this facility in Indianapolis and 1 GW of output at full capacity. This facility was earlier planned to produce glassless flexible solar modules, but has been replanned to produce rigid ground mount modules based on ES Foundry's passivated emitter rear contact (PERC) cell technology.
