The Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation (KSPDC) has issued invitations to bid for the development of a 300 MW grid-connected solar power project at the Pavagada Solar Park. The estimated project cost is approximately USD 107 million. Additionally, the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) will be in charge of acquiring the project's generated power.
This tender aims to facilitate the expansion of the existing Pavagada Solar Park, which currently has a capacity of 2,050 MW. The expansion is part of the state's goal to add 3 GW of solar power capacity.

This project aligns with Karnataka's Renewable Energy Policy 2022-2027, aiming to add 10 GW of renewable energy capacity, including 1 GW of rooftop solar, within the next five years. The Pavagada Park itself generated over 4,503 MU of solar power in 2022–232022-23, showcasing its potential.
